Guides from Publishers
Reading Group Guides are available for many contemporary fiction titles. However, if you want a guide to classics or older books, then you have a choice of several series of study guides. These are geared to school curriculums, but can be useful to your book group discussion as they provide insights (plot points, characters, imagery, etc.) without getting into any heavy academic criticism.
Most of these guides are free or available for a nominal fee online. They can also be purchased at your local book store.
