C-SPAN PRODUCERS OF "BOOK TV" INVITE BOOKBUFFET TO CULL BOOK GROUPS FOR A NEW TV SHOW
"BookBuffet members have an opportunity to be selected for Book TV's new fall show filming book groups in their meetings."
Vancouver/Whistler, BC. (July 2005)—Book TV Producer Amy Roach has contacted BookBuffet Founder and Executive Editor, Paula Shackleton to cull from our member list a suitable group to film this fall.
"In September Book TV is launching a new weekly program featuring book clubs from around the country. We'd like to choose four book groups and follow them over the next few months, taping their monthly meetings and airing them on Book TV. We're looking for lively, engaged groups specializing in nonfiction, especialy current events, history, or biography."
BookBuffet has put out the message with a detailed feature article on our website, a newsletter notifying members and this press release. Please help us spread the word — Register your book group as a BookBuffet member, and you may qualify to be on Book TV.
We will be supplying a short-list of hopefuls to Amy later this month.
