CityWide Reads Involvement Opportunities
Be a volunteer Book Discussion Group Leader for your area. In California, Santa Monica's Inaugural Citywide Reads program has selected Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress.
February 24, 2003 — Prospective discussion facilitators are asked to read the book and come to one of the training sessions scheduled in mid-to late March. Trained volunteers commit to leading at least one 1 1/2 hour book discussion group, scheduled at various venues in Santa Monica during April and May.
