Los Angeles Latino Book & Family Festival
September 11-12:
The Los Angeles Latino Book & Family Festival is our oldest and largest event. Nearly 7 million Latinos make Los Angeles their home and another 725,000 in neighboring Orange County make the Los Angeles/Orange Greater Metropolitan Region the consummate Latino hyper-market.
The 2004 Festival feels it has found the perfect long term home for the Los Angeles event. This oldest (8th Annual) and largest of our Festivals will be held September 11-12 at Cal State University Los Angeles (CSULA). When leaving the Convention Center in downtown Los Angeles after the 2002 event it was the organizers aim to take the Festival to the community. But the need for a permanent home more centrally located led them to CSULA. According to Festival Producer Edward James Olmos, “East L.A. is truly the heart of the Latino community. We are very happy to be associated with this fine educational institution. It’s nice to be back.”
