Very light - nice idea, but wore thin after a while. After I'd read about a third of the book, I felt that I'd understood the joke, and the rest just became repetative. However, I did enjoy the movie - I think that they fixed some of the problems of the book, and working with a straightforward narrative, and 2-hour timeline, the whole thing was tighter and somehow fresher. Also Renee Zellweger was terrific.
